INFINITE is an audiovisual installation created by visual artists Liu Chang, Miao Jing and sound artist Gan Jian. The work explores the relationship between time and space, the spatial gravity and perception of human. INFINITE provides an immersive experience with dual experience of audio and visual.
Inspired by artist Sol Lewitt’s walling drawing series and “Open Cube”, the artist express the weight but in a contradictory lightness. The geometry elements are light, while the heaviness of the wall gives a pressure upon the viewer. This contradiction continues in the architectural structure of the work, in which there are two walls that enclose a spatial corner, and a cube that belong to both sides. INFINITE leads audiences to a mysterious space and meditational with infinite reverie.
